Supporting Virtual Slideshows using The Ideaographer

This is a simple and free start-up tool for mindmapping that focussing on entering objects in order to display a tree-style mindmap (project management people would say a vertical structure). Unfortunately, connecting tree branch to tree branch in order to display processes is not possible (project management people would say horizontal processes).

Beyond the straightforward entry of objects as prims, follow-up editing functions are not available. You need to deploy your enhanced building and scripting skills to the prims in order to make this mindmap behave more intelligent. But, as a visual support for virtual slideshows and lesson plans, this is a valuable tool:

What exactly does it do?

It’s a freely available virtual environment tool that allows multiple users to simultaneously create a 3D mindmap. Users start from a core topic and collaboratively create and contribute sub ideas, branching out into more specificity with each new sub level. Currently, the Ideaographer is only available in Second Life.
